How does one worship God in spirit?

The bible says that the true worshippers of God will worship God in spirit and in truth…(john 4:23-24)

So i was wondering, how does one worship God in spirit?

OUR RESPONSE

Thank you all for your contributions and for enlightening us all, God bless you.

The reason for the question is this….. You may have heard a worship leader or someone leading ‘praise and worship’ saying “let us begin to worship the Lord in spirit”and at that moment everybody raises up their hands, close their eyes and sway from side to side as if they had just switched into spirit mode. lol

I’m not knocking it but in all actuality, when one becomes truly born again according to Jesus, you are born of water and spirit.

Furthermore, Romans 12:1 says ‘I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.’ (Amp version)

Therefore our everyday life should be a spiritual worship. If we do not find ourselves living a devoted and holy life, we cannot ‘switch’ into spirit mode during praise and worship.

Bitter Truth

Christianity has been mis-understood by most. This is  because of the motives of those preaching and beholding it. Although the word of God (The Bible) is perfect, man has managed to somehow corrupt it; some out of genuine ignorance, some out of selfish ambition and a majority have zeal but without knowledge – which according to the bible is useless.

However, the bible can be contradicting and confusing to the ordinary eye; but why shouldn’t  it be? it is the will of God that man should seek Him earnestly, meaning, studying the word and not just reading it. Only then will what seemed confusing be made simple by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Contrary to what you may have been told, salvation is not meant for all – Mark 4:9-12 (And He said to them,“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” 10 But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. 11 And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, 12 so that

      ‘ Seeing they may see and not perceive,
      And hearing they may hear and not understand;
      Lest they should turn,
      And their sins be forgiven them.’ )  Mark 4:33 (And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it – NKJV) further more even after being saved, it is your duty and responsibility to search the scriptures thoroughly for understanding. Acts 17:11 (These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so).

Majority Of Christians Are Going To Hell

Majority of us “christians” are going to hell…..thanks to our so called pastors, whom i refer to as “babysitters”.

Majority of pastors today preach this sweet christianity, just to keep their congregation happy and motivated to keep on putting money in the basket
